Scenic Ticao Island is situated in Masbate Province, Philippines. Endowed with a warm tropical weather and bordered by immaculately perfect natural wonders, a lot of people come to Ticao Island to find paradise.

Ticao Island, specifically, the Manta Ray Bowl in Ticao Pass, is a well-known dive site and is also an ideal jump –off point for whale shark, locally called “butanding” interaction trip to Donsol, Sorsogon. In the Manta Ray Bowl, divers swim with the giant Manta Rays , white tips, whale sharks, pelagic fish and other rays and sharks. Water skiing, snorkeling and other water sports activities are also available in Ticao Island.

Because of its beautiful white sand beaches, most visitors who come to Ticao Island prefer to stay by the beach. But the more adventurous go trekking in the jungle to discover thundering waterfalls, undisturbed and unexplored caves and colorful and interesting flora and fauna.
Two of Ticao Island’s more popular scenic spots are the Burabangkaso Island and the Katandayagan Falls. In Burabangkaso Island the water is so clear that swimmers can see and even play with the fishes. This is a very ideal place for snorkeling. While Katandayagan Falls located in Barangay Bartolabac is a thundering virgin waterfalls.

On the western coast of Ticao Island there is a secluded fishing village blessed with a long stretch of brown sand where visitors can enjoy the sight of dolphins and flying fish. While the Halea Island Resort is snuggled in a very lovely cove in San Miguel only several minutes away by boat from the northern tip of Ticao Island.

Seafood and fresh fish abound in Ticao Island. A barbecue on the beach is a real feast of the taste buds as well as the senses. Accommodation for tourists are available in Ticao Island, they may not be five-star quality but adequate enough for anyone’s purpose.
